I’m Xander, the founder of NIXXIT — and a lifelong nail biter.

From what my parents tell me, it started around age 3. I grew up in Hawaii, and whether I was playing in the sand or paddling out into the waves, one thing was constant: my fingers were in my mouth. My dad was a biter too, so maybe it ran in the family. But even as I got older, the habit stuck — and so did the shame.
