I’m Xander, the founder of NIXXIT and a lifelong nail biter.

From what my parents tell me, it started around age 3. I grew up in Hawaii, and whether I was playing in the sand or paddling out into the waves, one thing was constant. My fingers were in my mouth.

My dad was a nail biter too, so maybe it ran in the family. As I got older, the habit never really went away. I know firsthand how frustrating it is to want to stop and still catch yourself biting without even realizing it.

That experience is a big part of why I created NIXXIT.

How does NIXXIT work?

NIXXIT creates an extremely bitter taste when your fingers reach your mouth, helping interrupt the automatic nail biting or thumb sucking habit. That moment acts as a reminder to stop, reset and try again.

Is it safe for kids?

NIXXIT Kids is designed for ages 3+. Apply only to the nails and surrounding area and always supervise young children during application. If you have questions about use with your child, check with your pediatrician.

Is there any smell or shine?

NIXXIT dries clear with no glossy polish look and no strong nail polish remover smell. Once dry, no one needs to know you're wearing it.

How often should I apply it?

For best results, apply NIXXIT 2–3 times a day and reapply after handwashing as needed. Consistency matters more than using a lot.

How long does one pen last?

With normal use, one pen typically lasts about 10–15 days. You only need a small amount with each application.

Will this help with skin biting or thumb sucking too?

Yes. NIXXIT can also be applied around the nails to help discourage skin biting, and NIXXIT Kids can be used as a bitter reminder for thumb sucking.

Can I use this with nail polish or fake nails?

Yes. Apply NIXXIT around the nail and cuticle area where your fingers are most likely to reach your mouth. It can be used with nail polish, gel or acrylic nails.
